Speaker & Teacher Info 2017
Kip Andersen’s awakening as a filmmaker came as a result of An Inconvenient Truth. After seeing the film, he dramatically changed his lifestyle and believed he was doing everything he could to help the planet. But his life took a different direction when he found out animal agriculture is the leading cause of environmental destruction. Together with Keegan Kuhn he co-produced his first film, Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret, which became an overnight viral success and ignited the environmental movement. Following this success, he was invited to speak in front of the European Parliament and a new cut, executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, was exclusively released on Netflix in September 2015.
Andersen is the founder of A.U.M. Films and Media, a 501c3 non-profit focused on creating films and media that promote thrivability, compassion, and harmony for all life. He is also a serial entrepreneur, as well as a certified Jivamukti and Kundalini yoga teacher.
A.U.M’s latest film titled “What the Health” follows Kip as he uncovers the secret to preventing and even reversing chronic diseases – and investigates why the nation’s leading health organizations don’t want us to know about it.
Janette Murray-Wakelin & Alan Murray
Raw Vegan Path
Throughout the year 2013, to inspire and motivate conscious lifestyle choices, to promote kindness and compassion for all living beings and to raise environmental awareness for a sustainable future, raw vegan ultra-endurance runners Janette Murray-Wakelin and Alan Murray ran together around Australia, 15,782km, running 366 marathons (43 km) each in 366 days, no days off. On January 1, 2014, they acquired world acclaim by setting a new World Record as the only couple over the age of 60 fuelled entirely on raw fruit and veg, wearing barefoot shoes, to run 366 consecutive marathons around Australia.
Janette and Alan have been actively following a raw vegan lifestyle for over 11 years after Janette was diagnosed with cancer and was told she had 6 months to live. As a result, the lifestyle choices she made with the support of Alan, set them both on a journey to optimal health. As veteran ultra endurance runners, they have proven beyond any doubt that living a raw, vegan conscious lifestyle results in optimal health where physically, mentally and emotionally, anything is achievable.
The film ‘RAW -the Documentary’ depicts their amazing journey.

Frank was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 26, 1951. According to his astrological chart, “peace and harmony are my battle cry.” The chart further claims that he is “flashy but not gaudy and prefers to dress elegantly.” His sartorial preferences obviously reflect a need for greater spiritual depth. Frank’s resume is “eclectic.” He has been, in no particular order, a NY City cab driver, scrap metal hauler, dishwasher, census taker, mail boy, ditch digger, bouncer, illegal narcotics distributor, general contractor, actor, radio announcer, carpenter, avid reader, seeker of God, weight gain/weight loss aficionado, recovered alcoholic/junkie, cocaine crazy, smoker, speed freak; raw foodist, vegan, lover, hater, father, husband, grad student, good guy, bad guy, social activist. Frank is an international spokesperson for personal transformation and weight loss, author of his soon to be released book, "May I Be Frank", subject of the award winning documentary “May I Be Frank" and featured in the documentary, "Hungry For Change". These films and book reflect Frank’s journey back to health and spiritual redemption.
James Aspey undertook a 365 day vow of silence to raise awareness for animals and promote peace over violence. Diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 17 and told he had 6 weeks to live, James beat the cancer after 3 years of chemotherapy and during that time began partying and abusing drugs. He became a passionate personal trainer so he could help others with their health. After 7 years and eventually developing an eating disorder, he met a wise Indian man who told him eating animals is bad karma.
He went vegetarian for a 7 day experiment great, so researched into the health benefits and realised cutting animal products from your diet is incredibly healthy and reduces the chances of developing so many illnesses and diseases.Upon more research he discovered the shocking and violent truth of what is being done to animals for food, clothing, entertainment and medical testing. It led him to the question, "If we don't need to kill and eat animals to be healthy, what are we doing this for?". He decided the only way to live in alignment with his values of respecting others was to become vegan. His first major form of activism was a 1 year long vow of silence which he used to raise awareness for animals and promote peace over violence. He travelled around Australia and cycled 5000km from Darwin to Sydney to show vegans can be fit and strong. James now spreads his message at events and protests around the world.

Thyme & Caramel
Thyme & Caramel is a gluten-free and hand-crafted vegan buttercream cakery in Bali. The cakery was founded in 2016 by teenage entrepreneur, Arielle Chenarra. At the age of 14, Arielle decided that she wants to make a dent in the world by being an advocate of happiness and sustainability.
Why happiness? Because Arielle finds joy from making the people around her smile. It is her ambition to remind people to live our lives to the fullest and to be grateful with the live we have.
Why sustainability? Because she wants her future self to have a healthy living environment. As an island living girl, Arielle really cares about her environment. To her, sustainability is the key to achieve a well-balanced life. Where you can be successful with whatever you do, while also being ethical and responsible to our planet.
Through Thyme and Caramel, Arielle wants to bring a new perspective to cakes as a guilt-free pleasure by using only real and plant-based ingredients. Thyme and Caramel specialises in making hand-piped buttercream from organic ingredients such as cacao butter and coconut sugar. She only uses natural colourings such as turmeric, matcha, beetroot, and sweet paprika. The base ingredients she uses in her cakes are a blend of tapioca, coconut and rice flours, which are also 100% locally sourced
Arielle believes that it's really important to run an ethical business. That’s why all of the ingredients she uses in her cakes are sourced locally, reaching the highest premium ingredients, excluding any nasty things, like palm oil, preservatives or artificial flavours. As Arielle herself is allergic to all artificial products and processed dairy, the things that she doesn't want to put in her body, she won't put it in her cakes for other people to eat.
By practicing these simple, ethical things in running her business, she believes that she can contribute to the betterment of our planet and inspire the young generation to lead a more sustainable, responsible lifestyle.
